Koh Tao is the place to be if you are a backpacker or diver – or both! Young people flock here for inexpensive diving schools. It’s a great place for snorkeling as well- you can rent a speedboat for a day trip from Koh Samui.
Go scuba diving in the Gulf of Thailand and visit one of the many dive sights. Mango Bay is a tranquil, quiet location for swimming. Shark Island is a place where you can go to see the great sharks. Sairee Beach is where all of the young backpackers hang out at the beach bars. Jamahkiri Resort and Spa is new addition and high-end accommodations located on an isolated strip of beach with relaxing bar and dining facilities. With it’s small small island charm, there are lots to see and do or take up an activity such as Yoga, kite boarding, parasailing, and windsurfing.
It has been said that people go to Koh Tao in Thailand on vacation and end up actually staying there. Now, that’s a place to see!
