People often say to me, “Wow Amber, the things you do are crazy!” When they do – I like to mention my friend Paul who takes life and adventure to the extreme.

Climbing Mount Everest wasn’t enough for Paul, he had to climb to the top of Lhotse too – within 24 hours. Niel is a true adventurer and the 9th person in history to climb two of the world’s tallest mountains in such a short time. Mount Everest and Lhotse, the first and fourth tallest mountains in the world. Not one to set limits on his capabilities, Paul’s goal is to climb the highest peaks on the seven continents. Throughout the years, he has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Elbrus, Carstensz Pyramid, Aconcagua, Mount Vinson and now Mount Everest.

Paul left his job at Goldman Sachs to peruse his dream of completing his challenge – his last peak is Mount McKinley, or Denali, in Alaska. Aside from Paul being my friend, he was also a roommate for about two hours. Why so little time? After arriving in Hong Kong after his 24-hour back-to-back climbs, Paul came to the city to celebrate his achievements and grab a fresh set of clothes. He wasn’t in the city for very long – just 48 hours later he was on his way to Alaska, where he will be climbing the last peak of his challenge! Can’t wait to hear  from Paul upon his safe return and when he takes a minute to breathe – here  are his photos from the amazing journey.
