Lillooet Lake features a number of beautiful destinations around it, such as the Garibaldi Provincial Park and Lillooet Ranges. It was a significant route historically, dating back to the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush, where small steamers and other boats used the surrounding waters to haul passengers and freight. For a number of years, the wreckage of the SS Prince Wales could be seen on the lakeside shores.
Visitors to the area have plenty to see and do – from park overlooks to driving routes, there is a good amount of rich history and scenery in the area. Outdoor enthusiasts also have a number of activities to choose from, including mountain biking, heli-skiing, hiking on any of the breathtaking trails and fishing. Lillooet Lake water recreation features beaches, diving sites, secluded coves and quiet areas for paddling or relaxing.
